THE EXAM

This year’s new course has more recruits.

With increased coffers for the institutes.

Half shall pass and half shall fail.

On this sliding distribution scale.

Three years of study shall culminate.

In a few short hours to seal their fate.

Fear not the dons they know their need.

And teach the books that they must read

And the test depends in every way.

On how they’re feeling feeling on the day.

It’s not more facts these students seek.

They would rather learn exam technique.

And when their brains are cramped and spun.

All forgotten when the papers done.

Their minds now locked by what’d in store.

The day the results come through the door.
