The carrot and the stick

In previous blogs I have mentioned that most folk are fundamentally proactive or reactive. The media and the internet are largely reactive and are better at criticism and conflict than collaborative thinking. This is why you should never fear criticism when promoting yourself. Criticism is a reaction and that is better than being ignored.

It is nice to get good reviews but as your comments and testimonials you receive, the more likely some will be negative. This conversely causes others to jump to your defence and others will hype up your presence on IT platforms .

It is better to have a majority of five star reviews with some three star than for all to be five star perfect. People trust 4.2 stars the best as it suggests authenticity whilst retaining an excellent feedback from customers and clients alike. A diamond without a floor is not a diamond and providing you are not being offensive to others , embrace negative views from time to time. They reflect a diverging opinion that all services and products will experience.

The playwright Wilde one said that the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about. When people are engaging in what you are doing is surely is the route to profitable business.
