When you travel you experience different cultures. These cultures often do things in a very different way to how things are done at home. These differences will become more apparent the more you travel around the world. Look at the way you are treated and how things are sold to you.
We wrongly assume that their methods won’t work in our country. We might be right if we follow them exactly but we can adapt their techniques to be suitable to our culture. This will seem new and exciting to people at home despite being a different approach
In a previous blog I suggested that the best business ideas come from offering a new way of satisfying a familiar need or want. Travel ideas are just an extension of this principle. Often there are import/ export opportunities that become apparent when we visit other cultures that would never be obvious by staying at home. What is common to us is rare abroad and what is common abroad is rare to us.
