DISCIPLINE AND CLEAR THINKING

We all want to master the art of self discipline. Losing weight being product with our money stopping smoking are all achievable with self discipline. How do you achieve consistent self discipline?

There is a discipline that I would call the master discipline that if you can reach it all other discipline would be obtainable. This is the discipline of clear thinking. The more you practice this skill the better will be your long term commitment. In the following paragraph I will show you how to obtain this skill for your future benefit.

The key to self discipline is razor sharp clear thinking. Most desires are clouded in doubt uncertainty and a vagueness that perpetuates the status quo. Modern society with all its gadgets has made us mentally lazy and unwilling to focus the brain. The attention span is so short and any change in thinking barely has a chance to take hold and the subsequent behaviour hardly changes .

Thinking is a function of our behaviour and should be the core of our efforts to change. When you decide to lose weight you need to start with how much you want to lose.. Give yourself an approximate time when you can realistically lose the weight. Remember it is safe to lose around two to three pounds a week so 50 lbs would work out at around a year to reach your ideal. You might lose much faster than that but for long term motivation do not be too ambitious.

It is essential that you focus all your energies on the task at hand. Meditate every day for 10 minutes in the morning and ten minutes in the evening on your ideal weight. Get someone to take a photo of you every week and print the photos out placing them all round the house. Constantly affirm your ideal weight preferably 50 times a day or more. Speak as if it is already completed.

Write a paragraph each day defining not how but why you wish to obtain that weight and print the paragraph out sticking it under your weekly photos. Avoid consistent weighting I recommend weighing yourself no more than once a month. It is essential you have a clear picture in your mind as to the weight you are obtaining. Record your ideal weight and listen to you repeating to yourself every day until it becomes a persistent focus.

You can do this for all sorts of things The purpose of this activity is to apply enough focused thought in one area for your subconscious to pickk up and activate your motivational psyche. After around thirty days you will have developed a new thinking and this will always be followed by a new behaviour. You’re thinking is the source of your effort before anything else. Once you have really decided to to make the change you intellect will search out the how to achieve it.
